My top 3 celebrity perfumes

Hello glitter bugs! please excuse my disappearance, i have just returned from a wonderful family holiday
Sun, sea, beaches but no wifi...
But today i want to reward your patience with a little blog post about
My favorite celeb perfumes,
So many people have complimented me on when i am sporting these jems
so its only fair to share with you all.

Fantasy | By Britney spears

I have owned this perfume longer than the others but my love for it still grows,
To me from the bottle it smells like cupcakes, a very warm sweet scent
But when i spray it on, a deep musky smell develops
In the best way possible, you know that musky smell thats in guys perfume
Which us girls love!
Its like that but still girly and sweet.

Fame | by Lady Gaga

This is a very mature smell,
It has that dark musky smell but still sweet in its own way
Its smells fruity but its not overly powerful
I love this bottle out of them all
And no its not the bottle thats black its the perfume itself
But becomes clear when airborne!

Wonderstruck | by Taylor Swift

This perfume is fruity and sweet but has this warmth to it
Similar to the fantasy perfume, its a pretty mature scent but still girly
Not going to lie this being made my Taylor Swift makes me biased
But it is one of my faves.

I hope you girls enjoyed and have a wonderful rest of your week

How to shop for perfume

Try not to over spray

Your sense of smell can become numb if you over do your nose with too many scents.
By Having a sniff of coffee can “refresh your nose” in the same way a mint can clear your mouth after a meal.

Take your time

If you’re wanting to try a perfume you have been recommended from someone else
spray it on your wrist and spend some time with it to see how it reacts with your skins natural oils as this can change the scent, This is why the same perfumes can smell different on someone else.

Switch it up

You might be looking for a signature scent which captures your personality, but wearing the same thing day in day out and you’ll soon get tired of it. Instead, try and build up a “perfume wardrobe”, with different scents to suit different occasions and seasons.

Scent cards

instead of spraying a few scents all the way up your arm try using the tester cards that are provided, you can mark them so you know what perfume it is and not be mixing the scents together, and the perfume will last more longer on a card if your want to get some one else's opinion

Found the one? Make it last

You can also help your perfume to go the distance by applying some petroleum jelly to your skin, and then applying your scent on top of that. The perfume droplets will cling to the petroleum jelly - rather than sinking into your pores - which can reduce or eliminate the need to reapply fragrance later in the day.

Pulse points

The "pulse points" are locations on the body where the blood vessels are closest to the skin. These spots emanate heat, which can help fragrance to emanate from your skin into the air. (It's the same principle used by essential oil diffusers). Apply your perfume to these points - namely, the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes, in the cleavage, behind knees, and the inner elbows. As you wear your perfume throughout the day, it will react with your body heat and continue to emit scent

Revlon colour stay 24hr foundation review

Hello glitter bugs today is going to be a little extension to my April favourites, I had heard so many good things about this foundation before trying it but the thing that really puts this foundation on top is its
amazing staying power which it climes to be 24hrs!
I don't know why you would need to it to last 24hrs, but not only dose it last me all day but in one day
I had taken a nap, worked out, and been in the rain and
I'm not going to lie it wasn't perfect but it was pretty amazing how it held up like no other foundation I have tried.

but for avarage day it will last me from when I apply it until when I take it off which could be anything from 10/13 hours with no touch ups, and it looking the exact same and very fresh
as far as the claim of it lasting 24hrs I don't think I will ever know if that's true because I would never leave my foundation on for 24 hrs

The finish of this foundation I would say is semi matt
and the constancy is pretty thick on the back of my hand and a little bit of it goes a long way, but when I blend it into the skin with my real techniques buffing brush it dose feel surprisingly light and I cant feel it on my skin

although its lightweight on the skin its not a light coverage but as with any foundation if you applied it sparingly you could get it looking natural but the foundation is a very good medium to high coverage which I love but never the less it dose look flawless and not cakey,
and I have been using this foundation over my beloved mac studio sculpt

After the first time I left the foundation on for maybe 15 to 16 hours
I did feel my skin being a little dryer, I have normal but very sensitive skin
and because it lasts so long it really dry's up and locks on to your skin
But I accidently picked up the oily/combination formula when I think the
dry skin formulation would be better for me,
as its less thick and more moisturising.
so pay attention to that if your thinking about purchasing

Pros and cons

Pros

.20 shades to chose from
.Lasts a long time
.Comes in different formulas for dry skin or oily/combination skin
.durable but still light weight
.looks flawless
.doesn't oxidise
.No need to touch up during the day
.Smells great
.easy to blend

Cons

.No SPF
.No pump to dispense product
.Hard to remove with just a makeup wipe
.Dry's fast while applying
.the foundation is thick and its a struggle to get out of the glass bottle

Overall I love this product and truly recommend it to all of you
I really have no complaints about it apart from the packaging
but if I can find a pump for it will be a 9/10 from me!
I hope you have a lovey day!

April favourites

As I'm in America right now I cant help but try out every thing that I cant get back home!
plus with a few too many naughty online sprees, needless to say I need to upgrade my makeup bag
picking the best of the best out of every thing was not as hard as
I thought because these things have really stood out to me this past month and even longer!
I also tried to put my own spin on the favourites thing we do around here it so I hope you love it!

Tangle Teezer

I have been oohing and ahhing about one of these for a while now, but a hair brush is something I think you shouldn't need to spend more that £5 on, but I found this on amazon for a great deal!
It really works like it says! I can have the worst birds nest on my head and it would
1. not take long to detangle
2.its pain less even for the wost hair days
And I love the way its shaped for holding and its curved to the shape of your head to
so best hair brush ever 10 out of 10!

2True Eye brow pencil

This is something i cant say enough good things about! I had such trouble finding something to fill in my eye brows whether it be powder or pencil it would always have a very warm tone and I really wanted something that was cool toned to match my skin and hair better
so i looked to the high end brands for the answer but
I didn't want to dish out £20 odd for it so my friend tipped me on to this,
honestly I have never taken a look at the
little 2true stand at Superdrug but I'm glad I did!
first off its £2! and its the perfect colour, not to soft or hard just what i was looking for
so if you are having a similar issue your welcome!

Maybelline rocket mascara

I normally double up on mascara, use one for length and use another to add volume but again
a lovely friend of mine let me borrow hers one day and i had a epiphany!
I have tried a good amount of mascaras over time low end and high end but
This mascara did every thing it added volume with out being clumpy, separated well
lengthened and it stays black all day!

Favourite person

I make the rules around here so I'm going to say my cats!
I miss these boys so much while I'm away, so just take a minute to soak in the cute ness!

Favourite movie

The neighbours! I actually saw this like 2 hours ago and it was so funny!
And we cant forget Frozen! I wish Olaf was real!

Favourite memory

Me and my boyfriend when to the special Olympics at his school we even
got to join in and had a basket ball game with them!
it was a lot of fun and made me very happy!

Have a wonderful week everyone!
good luck! and may the odds be ever in your favour

preparing for your special day

Whatever it may be, a prom, a wedding, my neighbors sisters friends baby shower,  any formal occasion i jump at the chance to go to! any excuse to wear a fancy dress, beautiful makeup, with the heels and the diamond earrings and your hair pined in a elegant side bun I LOVE DRESSING UP! i wish it was acceptable
to wear this every day, if only i was born in 1925 i would be so much happier
of course if i was born then i wouldn't be able to share with you all of my lovely advice
for making the most of your occasion and how to avoid the stressful moments

prepare for the worst

Preparing for your event is so important, having your appointments booked in advance is all ways smart no matter what, but something a lot of people don't think about is having trial run before the day,
for your hair, makeup and very importantly if your having a spray tan!
Paying a good amount of money to have a spray tan done and you come out like a carrot!
it would be a funny story but, on the day it would be the end of the world.
So thinking ahead definitely pays off,

Say yes to the dress

having the perfect outfit is cherry on the cake but sacrificing comfort i wont settle for,
I wont wear it if i have to keep pulling it up or down and high heels that cripple you I cant see any shoe being worth it
So Ladies the floor length dress is your best friend!
not only are these super comfortable they are very flattering,
being loose around the bits you may want to hide and tight around your bust
these are my personal Favourite dresses for events and you could be bare foot and no one would know!
but if you did want height go for wedges, they are so much comfier.

BooHoo.com Have been so kind and are giving us a exclusive sneak peak at there new prom line full of amazing outfits for all of your events the maxi dresses and the rompers are my personal favourite out of this line, they are comfy and can be dressed up beautifully and if you are looking for some accessories to complete your outfit they have you covered and it wont break the bank like some high street stores.

On a budget

Picking something that you really want to spurge on whether it be the dress or you want your hair and makeup done professionally is a good place to start, because things like nails, makeup, hair, tanning, these things can all be done at home with the things you already own, so if your tempted to spend money getting all of these extras done professionally just pick the most important thing to you and try and save money in every thing else. for me I wanted to
invest in my dress, so i did my nails, hair and makeup myself.
i even made me and my boyfriends corsage and boutonniere that would of cost another $100, so that's $100 that I got to spend on my dress instead

The day before

Today is the day for pampering! so face masks, home manicures, this is even better
with a group of friends that are going with you, just relax and get excited
Depending on what your event is get everything ready so the day can move smoothly
So lay out your outfit and set reminders for your appointments
make a little to-do list of what you need to do
at what time so you can be ready and every thing done for when
the time of your occasion rolls around.

Prom season is among us
my prom is this Saturday!!!
I hope your special day goes smoothly and you enjoy every moment
(this post was not sponsored nor did I receive anything for writing this)

15 Best beauty Tips & Tricks

I love finding new tips and tricks, especially when they are just using the things
you already have and just using them in a different ways,
so here are some of my favourites for you.
I tried to use tips that are new to me too, and some I have used for a long time
so i hope you find something you haven't heard of before.

.Putting Vaseline on your eye lashes makes them grow longer and stronger and when I did this it also make my eye lashes look darker too.

.Don't pump your mascara wand in and out of the tube, it gets air inside and dry's out your mascara

.Use caster oil to anti frizz your hair and add texture also is amazing for your hair.

.After brushing your teeth dip your tooth brush in some baking soda and brush your teeth, this will make your teeth so White!.

.lightly heat up some olive oil in the microwave and put in a bowl and dip your nails in the oil, this will deep condition you nails, after the oil is cool pull your hands out and rub the excess oil on your hands for a luxurious addition to your home manicures.

.When you are done in the shower and you are ready to get out rinse your hair with cold water this will close the hair follicles locking in all the moisture, and will leave you with softer hair.

  • Cut a lemon in half and dip it in sugar rub it around your face gently, for a blemish banishing exfoliator.

  • Put some olive oil through the ends of your hair you can put as much in as you want, then put your hair up in a bun and go to sleep you mite want to put a towel down on your pillow first, when you wake up wash your hair and you will be amazed how soft your hair is and will improve the appearance of split ends.

  • Make your own tined moisturiser just put equal parts foundation to moisturiser and mix together, I love this for working out.

  • Brown Starbucks napkins are amazing for blotting your face and removing excess oil and shininess.

  • .Add a few drops of contact solution to  your mascara to fix dry mascara.

.Use tooth paste on blemishes to dry them out.

.If you used to much serum in your hair and it looks a little greasy then just go through your hair with a blow-dryer to fix it.

  • If you want your foundation to last all day after you have put it on, blot your face with a tissue this will remove all the oils from the foundation and leave just the pigment on your face this will help your foundation from slipping off during the day and then continue with powder.

  • Use hair spray on a spoolie to fix your eyebrows in place.

Have a lovely week glitter bugs
And please put any tips of your own in the comments

My current hair routine

Hello Glitter bugs! The whole curling with a flat iron has all ways been a bit iffy with me I just couldn't get the technique down so I gave up retuned to my regular curler, but a few weeks ago I don't know what pushed me to try again? but i picked up my straightener and like magic curled my hair
and I loved loved loved they way it came out! I can do my whole head of hair in 5 minutes
by just really curling the ends or I can spend a littler more time adding curls all over
earthier way the style will stay in my hair until I next take a shower
this has been my go-to hair style for the past month, because I can actually get my hair looking decent
in 5 minutes instead of that messy bun I always go for in a rush.
so I guess you could say I have found my holy grail

Above is the products I use in my hair after the shower while my hair is still wet,
this leave in conditioner has become a essential for me,
it detangles my hair, makes its noticeably softer and it doubles as a heat protectant!
and I think this was £2 on sale, so its definitely something that I'm going to keep around for a while.
The hair mouse is something new that I have been trying out for the past 2 weeks
and so far I like it, its definitely is growing on me but I honestly cant remember
what my hair was like volume wise before I started using it so I don't think its anything amazing right now,
but maybe when it runs out I will notice a difference?

Now for the part you have all been waiting for! I think the thing that makes this a lot easier
is the way you hold the straightener.
use your opposite hand for what ever side your curling
so to curl the left side of your hair you would use your right hand
place your thumb on top of the straightener so your thumb is facing your ear
and continue by turning the straightener in the direction you want the curl,
and when the ends of your hair are facing down again start pulling the
straightener down your piece of hair slowly to the bottom.
I find I get more of a ringlet curl when I keep the straightener vertical while pulling it down
It sounds super easy and really it is, so I'm not sure what I was doing differently last time I tried this
But if you did it perfectly the first time I tip my hat to you!

I hope all of you lovely readers enjoyed this post
and I hope you all have a amazing weekend!
And shoutout to a new friend of mine
go check out her blog!
